What is YonkersTLC (Thursday Lunch Club)?

We are a group of business and resident constituents of Downtown Yonkers, New York, who want to see our downtown grow and develop.  We believe it is already a wonderful place to be, and with the attention of involved citizens it can be one of the finest venues in Westchester County.  We meet to find ways as citizens to reach this goal, by both our own actions, and lobbying the city on behalf of our downtown.

Come have lunch with us.  You can sign up for our mailing list by following this LINK.

Our downtown has both natural, architectural and artistic beauty.  It is strategically located just north of New York City at the junction of two beautiful rivers, the Saw Mill River and the Hudson River, and it overlooks the Palisades.  It also has a Metro-North Train Station right in it's center and is a major transportation hub for the Westchester County Bee-line Bus System.  It has two colonial edifices, Philipse Manor Hall, and St. John's Church.   It has the Science Barge, the Sarah Lawrence Center for the River at BEZCAK, the Yonkers Pier from which views are available of both the George Washington and the Tappan Zee bridges.  It has an amphitheater which is the venue for weekly Friday night Jazz concerts in the summer, and abounds in art both in Van Der Donck Park, the Sculpture Meadow, along the Boardwalk, and throughout the town.  There is a five star restaurant along with a variety of affordable restaurants, delis and pizza restaurants.  You can shop for hardware, groceries, clothes, shoes, household items, pharmacy in a variety of both name brand and stand alone stores.
